Testing for Food Intolerances

We use the convenient Food Detective™  blood test which tests for food antibodies (IgG antibodies).

You don’t have to send off a sample and wait weeks to receive results from a testing laboratory.

A small blood sample taken from a finger-prick is all that is needed for the test.
Results are available in less than an hour.

Many food intolerance sufferers have commented after their diagnosis and after removing their problem foods, that they had been experiencing minor symptoms as a result of intolerance for most of their lives.

Food intolerance is your body’s abnormal reaction to the ingestion of certain foods or dietary components. There may be an obvious connection between eating a specific food and your reaction. However, you may not realise the relationship between the food and the symptoms from the reaction because these often appear hours or even days later.

Food intolerance is not life-threatening. However, its impact on sufferers can be significant, sometimes affecting their ability to live normal healthy lives.

People commonly refer to their food intolerance as a food allergy and it is quite common to know people with a wheat or dairy “food allergy”. However, there are a number of other common foods that people are intolerant to and this occurrence is becoming more and more noticeable in Australia.
